## Reviewing Process
| **Things I like** | **Problems I've encountered** |
| -------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Being able to find things through a hierarchy of folders/categories. | I've wired my brain into Worldbuilding to fill the categories rather than explore abstract ideas organically. |
| Keeping track of what I created for events or throughout the year. | Using tags for keywords feels chaotic and isn't useful to me. I also forget what tags are in use. |
| Being able to hide clutter by hiding articles from the ToC. | The titles of many articles and categories feel mundane or clichΓ©. |
| It makes me feel good to see more than 3 articles in a category. | I feel unsatisfied with empty-looking categories and feel like parts of my world are "missing". |
| | I feel unmotivated to worldbuild and find it hard to get back into things. |
| | Exploring and creating new areas of my world feels daunting, like staring at a blank page. |
### What I want to achieve
- Improve links and connections between articles
- Feel inspired to explore new areas and ideas
- Make the world feel intriguing, unique, and memorable

## Thoughts as I tweak things
There are 9 categories, and subfolders go a maximum of 2 levels deep. I try to make sure that parent/child articles also follow this rule.
Overall I like the current structure of my category folders π€ but I think that some things might be better in a slightly different order.
Oh also I ran into a problem when adding the articles: I had originally planned to have two different articles for Country(geography) and Country(organization). ==Duplicate names don't work== in Obsidian AND it also makes it hard to search for the right one on World Anvil.
~~I tried moving the Lore Library up so it's before Fauna because I realised that the history, events, and stories are an immersive way to explore the world and many concepts in one place.~~
*(Moved it back down again later for descending size consistency.)*
I also added some extra descriptive flair to the categories within the Regions of Melior. I added extra descriptions to a few others, and renamed Flora to Botanical Specimens, and Fauna to Bestiary ==*(final version: The Boundless Bestiary)*==
When I went to organise my notes, I realised I needed a category under Traditions and Culture for Professions. I'm realising this is hard to organise my notes without child articles like on WA. π€
I guess I'll continue for now and see what state the categories are in afterwards. OhNo where do I put all the characters?
- Characters go in the most relevant folder such as location or organization
Where do I put all of the small town regional stuff? For now I'm dumping it in the large region categories.
- When there are 5 or more articles I can put them in a more specific subcategory.
What about the small town traditions, those aren't globally practised? Do I put them in traditions, or with the town?
- Small traditions still go into the Observed Traditions & Cultures folder, when I have 5 or more of a same type (such as coming of age traditions) I can make a new article that summarizes all of them, and move the small local ones into their location folder. I think?
What about local guilds/gangs? For now I've put them in the big category but it doesn't feel right yet. I'm hoping once I've done the first pass of sorting then I'll find a solution.
- Same as above. Build many. Create a summarized note. Move old and specific ones into localised folders.
---
For all of the articles that belong under magic, i've made a folder called Magic. This will be hidden from the ToC. The overview article of magic is in the introduction. This works fine for a small folder, but now I need to tackle all the things I dumped into the region folders.
#### Region Folders
I think I should have folders for each country that has been created. I will test it here (folders in brackets will be hidden from view to reduce visual overwhelm, so you'll only see the highlighted ones):
- π ==Regions of Melior==
- π *(Anvil)*
- π *(Melesh)*
- π Capstone
- π Capstone Sewers
- π *(Ves Palu)*
- π *(Belu)*
- π Belu
- π Beluvian
- π *(Korbasa)*
- π *(Nurbotu Desert)*
- π Ves Palu
- π Angur
- π Melesh
- π Markor
- π ==Anvil, the unyielding lands==
- π ==Jolundria, seat of the Empire==
- π ==Selith, glacial bastion==
Articles with fancy long titles are hubs that link to other areas. These should be the Geography template articles.
Region folders are hidden.
I can add as many subfolders as I need, so long as any that exceed the 2 levels deep are hidden.
I really like the fancy long titled articles because it gives so much more context in comparison to FantasyCountryName3. "Jolundria" sounds cool but it tells me *nothing* about the region.

Ok I'm happy with that.
The categories are structured better and sound more itriguing, and I've learnt about creating hub articles that can have fancy long titles. Hiding some of the subcategories will help me keep places like the Regions of Melior tidy and easy to navigate.
I've set these up in my worldbuilding Obsidian vault and prefaced the folders with numbers to keep them in the correct order. I use the folder icons plugin to add a visual reminder of which categories I will set to hidden/ not display in the ToC on WA.
On WA I set FontAwesome icons on each of the visible categories in the ToC to help give visual context to what they contain:
